Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique
Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique also known as N.A.E.T., for short, is a non-invasive, drug-free, natural solution to eliminate allergies and allergy-related disorders often with lasting results. N.A.E.T. was discovered (in 1983) by Dr. Devi Nambudripad, D.C., L.Ac., M.D., PhD.

What is an allergy?
An allergy is a condition of unusual sensitivity of an individual towards one or more substances which may be harmless or even beneficial to the majority of other individuals. In other words, an allergy is an energy imbalance between the energy of the person and the substance causing unpleasant physical, physiological and/or psychological reactions.
What are the sources of allergies?
- Toxins from various sources: food, bacteria, fungus, virus, neurotoxins like mercury, MSG, radiation, etc.
- Post-injuries, accidents, surgery, etc.
- Genetically transmitted: inherited from grandparents or other family members.
- Deficiency and malabsorption disorders.
- Emotional traumas.
How does an energy disturbance (allergy) in the body cause disease?
An allergen initiates an energy disturbance in the weakest part of the tissue in the body (e.g., muscle, bone, organ, etc.). The affected tissue is connected with one of the major twelve meridians (energy channels according to Chinese medicine) in the body. The affected tissue (for example the lung) will initiate an energy blockage. This blockage then affects the other 11 meridians in a cyclical fashion leading to the circulation of less than optimal energy throughout the body. If, however, one locates and then deactivates the involved allergen with N.A.E.T., all the meridians will clear their energy disturbances as if a switch were thrown. Understanding the categories of allergens, their effects and the meridian system can help you identify causative allergens. What kind of techniques are used in N.A.E.T. to discover the cause of allergens?
Before starting to utilize N.A.E.T., the doctor will conduct a complete history and physical exam with the practice member. She may also choose to order one or more of readily available allergy tests including scratch testing, the ELISA test and others.
Also, the doctor may use some tests from Chinese medicine and acupuncture theory. This may include palpating the meridians and specific points on the body. The Doctor may also use Mescle Response Testing (MRT).
What is MRT?
N.A.E.T. uses various standard diagnostic testing modalities from allopathy, chiropractic, kinesiology and acupuncture, which are taught in healthcare institutions worldwide. Muscle Response Testing from kinesiology is one of the most important tools of N.A.E.T. During MRT a practice member touches an allergen with his fingertips. Sensory receptors from the fingertips carry the message of the energy of the allergen to the brain. Other nerves transmit the message back from the brain into the peripheral tissue resulting in a delayed response by the muscle being tested. For more information about MRT, may we suggest that you purchase and read Good-bye to Illness by Dr. Nambudripad. Call our office and we will be happy to help you obtain a copy. What is the N.A.E.T. treatment like?
N.A.E.T.'s procedure is very simple and non-invasive. N.A.E.T. is a step-by-step process. The technique's success is based on its commitment to holism (that the whole body needs total balance in order to express health). So, while you may know that, for example, your son is very allergic to milk, this will not be the first or only allergen he will need to have cleared with N.A.E.T. Instead, he will be tested for the top 15 most common allergens (including things like egg mix, calcium, vitamin C, B vitamins, and others) and cleared for any that require it. The idea here is to help boost the immune system so that it can derive the optimal nutrition from a healthful diet without reacting to certain substances within the foods. After this, we can then safely turn to dealing with the most worrisome allergens. This is definitely a process that takes time, but when followed as described, the results are more effective, long-lasting and more comfortable for the practice member.
Once it is determined what allergen must be cleared on a particular day, the Doctor will stimulate two sets of specific points along the spine sometimes while the practice member performs a particular breathing pattern. After this, certain acupressure points will be stimulated. Then, the practice member will be re-checked to make sure the allergen is cleared.
After this, the practice member will be asked to take every measure to avoid contacting the allergen for 25 hours. The Doctor may also recommend other measures to help the person process toxins and remain feeling well. It is recommended that the practice member return to the office to ensure that the treatment is complete and to address any other allergens that may be interfering with the expression of health.
What kind of practitioners perform N.A.E.T.?
Thousands of practitioners around the world perform N.A.E.T. The technique is being used and researched in places as close as your backyard in the United States to those as far as Hong Kong, India, Australia and Europe. Practitioners come from a variety of fields including: chiropractors, medical doctors and medial professionals, doctors of oriental medicine, naturopathic doctors, acupuncturists and even veterinarians!
