How can you tell if your child is experiencing
nervous system interference?
Before your child
even comes into this world, some of the keys to healthy
development depend upon mom’s health. This includes proper nutrition (check out www.blueribbonbaby.com),
exercise and stress management.
However, even with all of the right things in
place, a newborn can still experience stress from the
trauma of birth.
The pulling and
twisting forces on the neck of a baby are significant
and very common in the United States. It’s been estimated that up to 1 in 7 births end in
Cesarean section and many more than that involve the use
of forceps and vacuum extraction.
Even so-called “natural” birthing methods can
cause stress and result in subluxations.
Subluxations are areas of the spine that
interfere with, or distort the messages that must travel
between the brain cells and body tissue cells.
Subluxations can compromise health and
development right from the start and other problems can
appear years down the road.
