What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic
is a total approach to health. The science of
chiropractic emphasizes the relationship between the
Nervous System and the structural system of the body.
Correcting spinal misalignments, called subluxations, is
for the purpose of relieving disorders of the human
body. If there is a problem or abnormality of
relationship between these systems, there may be a
problem that manifests as discomfort, pain, or other
symptoms.

These
effects of abnormal relationships of the body's system
are addressed by the chiropractic adjustment. The
adjustment may correct a possible spinal misalignment,
the vertebral subluxation complex, and permit the
restoration of normal nerve transmission and activity to
the body. Thus, the body is able to function at its peak
performance and better resist external and internal
causes that might create unpleasant symptoms.
Chiropractic's
primary function is not to treat illness or disease. Its
purpose is to help make all of the body's resources
available for optimal healing regardless of condition.
Results are as individual as people themselves. This is
why both young and old, sick and healthy can benefit
from chiropractic care. Recent chiropractic and medical
research reports that chiropractic care has made a
difference for people with the following health
concerns.
